Parade of the Polokwane Pimpernelby Morrel Shilenge / 10.12.2012
As big, anvil-shaped storm clouds gather over Mangaung and the machinations of the ruling elite increasingly resemble the script of a Martin Scorsese gangster flick (Nkandla, insult laws, the secrecy bill and the general base-level, thuggery and skulduggery); the forgotten prince of South African politics had his first day in court in Polokwane. Ol’ Juju still pulls a crowd on the streets of Polokwane, which is probably why they decided to move his next court date to Gauteng. Our man Shilenge was there with his camera to bear witness. No comment, just the pictures.
