Whether it’s biryani that gives you a nose bleed, oily chicken that makes your lips sparkle, mielies that make your molars crack or juicy mangos that stain your summer memories – every meal has a story and this December Interpret Durban wants a taste of your most delicious moments…
Interpret Durban is back for the sixth time running to showcase what Durbs’ ravenous arteests have to offer in Illustration, Video, Photography and Visual Art. This year’s theme is ‘Flavours of Durban’ – the moments that capture Durban’s people, culture and land through the tastes that pop and the dishes we share.
The competition runs until 9 December 2015 (that’s almost a week from now, details below) and ends-off with a banging exhibition, live-music jol and prize-giving at the Rivertown Beer Hall on 18 December. There’s some hotshit to be won with over R200 000 worth of prizes and entry into the competition is free and open to anyone Eksé!
So hit the streets with an empty stomach and an open mind, explore the gullies, dip into the dives and see what this city’s got cookin’ in the pot!
Drool over the first place prizes and find more details below:
