03.09.2010KIF. In a time of media tribunals and draconian secrecy laws that challenge our free society, it’s good to remind ourselves of the power that is mightier than the sword. The pencils themselves are really just a hip ode to the folk singer Woody Guthrie who wrote the same thing on his guitar back in the 1940s. But they seem to have specific relevance for South Africans. KAK. Having to pay almost R200 for a box of pencils with a timeous, radical message on them. But hey, that’s capitalism for ya!
