The faces have been cropped to protect the innocent. The sign reads: ” I got married 3 months ago and didn’t tell anyone… But tonight is my hen’s party”.
Here are my questions. 1. Anybody? Nobody? not even the person you married? 2. “But tonight is my hen’s party”? “But”? I’m just confused here. 3. If this is your hen party (as opposed to hen’s party) who is this guy standing next to you? Are husbands allowed to come to hen parties? Surely, at that point they are not or should not be husbands? This sign opens up the debate around the world of contradictions inherent in the rituals of Anglo-Saxon marriage rites. For this we salute you. For your grammar and taste, not so much.
