Compost Creations

The Air Bear is a kitsch cool creation of New York artist, Josh Allen Harris, who upcycles plastic bags into a living, breathing street zoo. American Beauty meets David Attenborough with these weirdly beautiful creatures which are created from plastic bags that sit on the vents above the subway and inflate with the rush of air as the train goes past.

If you want to get creative with rubbish, then check out Greenpop and Reliance’s latest competition. Create your wildest artistic dreams (ok, we’re talking compost bags only here) out of a Reliance compost bag and win a FREE week at the Trees for Zambia Festival of Action 2014 – including transport from SA to Zambia. Nice.

So far we’ve witnessed tote bags, skirts, animals, bikinis or even a wedding dress and here’s a few upcycled art idea’s to get the juices flowing.
