The tournament will be split between Newlands Stadium and the Cape
Town Stadium. The opening match at Newlands features Ghana vs. Nigeria, followed by South Africa vs. Brazil. Then the next day at the new Cape Town Stadium, the opening match pits our Amajitas against Nigeria while Ghana takes on the mighty Brazilians.
There are also a couple of notable firsts at this festival, like it’s the first time the brand spanking new Cape Town Stadium will be tested to its full capacity of 68 000 fans. It’s the first night game held at the stadium, so the first time we’ll get to test the stadium lights in an official football match. And most importantly, football fans will have the opportunity to purchase alcohol for the first time.
Afterwards there will be a whole host of post match entertainment.
